desert him – v2

they all would desert Him

leaving him to his captors

Judas alone with Him

left in the garden, Gethsemane,

with the guards, the others

those who would take him to the Sanhedrin

those would mock and judge Him.

alone with the enemies

and before the Romans

the oppressors of the people

the disciples had abandoned Him

leaving him alone with them

those who sought to kill Him

the Messiah, the Son of God.
