I
try to be faithful
to
the teachings of Christ;
seeking
His grace
in
my daily life.
I
strain forward
against
the bit of my resistance;
seeking
to control my path
when
I should be led.
I
take His yoke
raising
it to my shoulders;
lowering
it upon me
to
feel it against my neck.
Only
then am I able, without control,
to
walk with my Savior;
journeying
with my brother
in
the way that leads to life.
